August 11th is my dads birthday. Victor Galin was born in 1919 in NYC and grew up in Brooklyn (about 2 blocks from where Sammy lives now). We (Janice and I) heard him talk about growing up in Williamsburg but we could never figure THAT out and since we had visited Colonial Williamsburg (as kids).... we were very confused !!!
Mostly I remember that he was smart, good looking, played trombone, sang off beat Broadway tunes ("Mumbo Jumbo from ''Stop the World'), was funny, and generous (quietly...no fanfare) Big Redskin fan. Life long Democrat and liberal.

And very very curly hair.....not appreciated by all......but
WHATEVER !!!!!!

Happy Birthday Dad

  1. There is one picture of your dad that looks like a movie star ! Hope to see you again in Yoga . Today is Hybrid Fitness at the JCC at 2 pm . I refuse to let this mucus from hell get me down, that's why you see me with all my junk ! Presently, trying to find the solution and solve this problem for myself and other patients. Fortunately next week I will get my 3 month Botox injection around my eyes and I am going to ask him if there is any more thoughts he has in solving this problem. Yes, I have had at least 12 different Nasal sprays and recently a nose plug around the outside of my nose with cortisone ointment around the muscles of my eyes. (workd well ) Also Diane I have to ask him about RECLAST (the new yearly injection for Osteoporosis ) When I googled, for patients little side effects. When I pushed the bar for the professional study of this drug, it came out awful, unless I misunderstood the stat.s. So I see the Dentist this Thur.s and Dr. P next Wed. Hopefully, there will be some FIRM answers. Otherwise, I have been very active ! I have been trying to help one of my oldest and dearest friends escape her Nursing Home ! Tell you about it when I see you. Anyhow, your dad must have been a terrific person, lucky you ! Well, take care, I always hope you feel better day after day. For now, see you soon ! Until later, your friend, Pam
